Local Authorities & Social Services

ICS Legal works closely with a number of local authorities including the council and social services, by provding a spectrum of legal services.

Our range of work across advice, to helping with immigration and nationality applications. We have over a decade of experience in these complex legal matters, to ensure that we provide complete end-to-end solutions.

Children's applications for immigration status or British nationality

We work closely with social services with respect to protecting children and support social workers to ensure the children who are under their care, are able to make appropriate applications to the Home Office.

Our expert team offers advice, application preparation and submissions to the Home Office based on a child’s personal circumstances. ICS Legal offers guidance on the process of which application a child is entitled to and the requirements to be satisfied depending on whether the child is being adopted or taken into care.

In some instances, we can make an application for British nationality for a child who had been legally adopted or there are serious & compelling grounds.

Adult carer and applications for family members

Family members who are not themselves settled in the UK and intend to care for someone who is a British national or a settled person in the UK can apply for a visa to remain here in the UK. We work with social services and our clients to submit an application as a carer.

Domestic violence matters

Our approach to these applications whether they are being referred by social services or voluntary organisations is to provide expert advice and help in lodging an application for residency in the UK. Based on personal circumstances, we are able to lodge alternative applications where available.

Our expertise

ICS Legal provides advice, and support in strategic help to local authorities and social services, to ensure the vulnerable and those in their care, are being managed to apply for the correct immigration program or nationality.
