Start-ups & Small Businesses

As the UK have announced their new growth plans, both start-ups and small businesses are at the forefront of thinking.

You can read the full UK Government guidance by clicking here. The purpose of the policy is to support entrepreneurship and also help small businesses to grow. This creates jobs and opportunities for investors to consider the UK as the hub of the next generation.

There are a number of visa routes available to both start-up businesses and small businesses to consider.

Business visa application

The initial terms of 6 months visa with multiple entries to conduct business negotiations and look at investment opportunities are available for those looking to come to the UK.

It also allows investors from abroad to conduct those in the UK and helps enterprises the opportunity to take in investments to build on the growth.

The Global Business Mobility

The visa category allows a business outside of the UK to come to the UK and set up its business operation. On this type of visa, clients can qualify to settle after a period of residency in the UK.

Start-up and innovator visas

These visas allow start-up businesses including small businesses to come and set up their UK business. There are requirements to be met including the type of business, investment level and also the innovative ideas that the business brings to the UK.

Highly Potential Visa (HPI)

Students who meet the threshold of the Home Office policy can qualify and apply for this visa. This allows a person to come and work in the UK, bringing in entrepreneurship and ideas to stem growth in the UK’s economy.

Sponsor licence application

The flexibility of the sponsor licence platform allows those businesses to also recruit the talent required to build a strong workforce and drive innovations.

The emergence of technology is driving growth and businesses are able to expand on their services and product offering. Here are some of the visa categories we help our clients to apply under.
