UK Visa decision waiting times: applications inside the UK

UK Visa decision waiting times: applications inside the UK

It was an important announcement made by the Home Office, given that there are a number of applications that are pending with the Home Office. Here are some important information you should consider when an application is applied.

What is a valid immigration application

The immigration policies sets out what is a valid application, and it is important to note that simply applying online does not mean the visa application is valid. Your legal status may be affected if you have not completed the correct steps. We know that in the past, a paper form, the payment and the sending of the application, meant a submission was made.

A lot of the immigration policies have changed since then. First, the correct form must be completed online, so choosing the right visa application form is vital, as this draws the correct policy of law. It is easy to make a mistake, so be careful when applying. Second, is to schedule an appointment to attend the right visa centre. Submission of the documents, is another important element of the application.

The Home Office based on the above, will make a decision. However the request of further information & evidences may be requested. Once a decision is made, your legal status stops. You can stay in the UK until you’ve been given a decision, as long as you applied before your last visa expired.

What are the average Home Office decisions on visa applications in the UK?

In most cases, decisions are now being made within 8 weeks. We know that covid has impacted the decision making but things have improved.

Types of working visas I can apply?

The new visa routes for those wishing to work in the UK, are listed below and have been updated in our website:

  1. Global Talent.

  2. Innovator.

  3. Intra-company.

  4. Skilled worker.

  5. Entrepreneur.

  6. Investor.

  7. Minister of Religion.

  8. Sportsperson.

Visa Priority Services – get a faster decision on your application

The Home Office will re-introduce the fast track service however this would be case by case, so you need to check if you are eligible for that visa processing:

  1. You can get a decision within 5 working days, referred as the priority visa service and further costs would apply.

  2. Super priority decisions now take 24 hours and this would be based on the visa you have applied under.

In all cases, you would be informed if your application is eligible for that processing times. Decisions are only made once all process and submissions are made.
