Sham marriages | ICS Legal

A number of immigration applications are refused if the Home Office believes your relationship with either your British or EEA partner is a "sham marriage". The Immigration Bill published on 10 October 2013 contains new measures to prevent migrants gaining an immigration advantage by entering into a sham marriage or civil partnership.

However with any legal matters, Home Office do often get the decision wrong and if you believe your application was wrongly refused, contact ICS Legal today, so we can advise you on the best course of action to get your decision reconsidered.

If your application was refused because the Home Office did not accept your relationship, speak to us today?

It is important that you prepare a "good immigration application" in respect to demonstrating that the relationship between you and your partner is "genuine and subsisting". Family migration must be based on a genuine and subsisting relationship.
