extended validation certificate

The most important part of the application is the documentation to support your application, and the documents must be original as copies are not allowed, even attested copies. The Home Office will refuse your application if you have not supplied correct and original documents.

The onus is on the applicant to provide the correct documents.
In certain circumstances you may be unable to supply the combination of documents above, for example, if you are still on maternity leave and no birth certificate has been issued. In this case, you should read the policy guidance for details of other evidence that the Home Office may accept.

If your document is not in English or Welsh, the original must be sent with a fully certified translation by a professional translator. This translation must include information about translator and their work as a translator, and their confirmation that it is an accurate translation of the original document. The translator must sign and date the document.

You must send two recent passport photographs and your passport, along with proof of the following:

1.      Details of sponsorship certificate.

2.      Maintenance
